Arlington Catholic Head of School Linda Butt and Athletic Director Dan Shine announce the hiring of Kenneth Small, Jr. as the Head Girls Basketball Coach. Small replaces Dave Brady, who retired after serving as the Head Coach for the past two decades.

Mr. Small, a Waltham resident, comes to AC following three seasons as the Head Girls Varsity Coach at Newton Country Day. He also serves as Director of Womens’ Basketball for the Boston Bobcats AAU program as well as having trained NBA and collegiate athletes.

Mr. Small was a 4-year starter for the Brandeis University basketball program and served as Senior Captain during the 2009-2010 season. He was an all-UAA Selection. Kenneth is also the all-time career scorer at Stratford High School in Connecticut where he tallied 1321 points.

“We are very excited about what Coach Small has to offer. His success as a student athlete at Brandeis makes him an outstanding role model for our students. Coach Small has a passion for the game and a wide array of teaching and coaching experience. Dave Brady had tremendous success building the AC basketball program and we look forward to Coach Small continuing to build upon that success.” said AD Dan Shine.
