Meet the Community

Saint Agnes School is proud to offer a Learning Center with a full time special education teacher in order to meet the needs of students with Individualized Education Programs

    Selected as the freshman Student of the Quarter, Katherine O’Donovan has consistently proven to be an outstanding student who has many interests and talents.  Katherine has two older siblings, Elizabeth ‘14 (21) and Alex (23).   Katherine’s favorite subject in school are Biology and History because she loves science and learns new things while having fun." At AC, Katherine played varsity soccer and track and is on the varsity lacrosse team. What Katherine likes best about AC and the school community  is  that “everyone is extremely kind and friendly.”    

     

     

     

     

     

    Selected as the sophomore Student of the Quarter, Abigail Flaherty has consistently proven to be a remarkable student who has many interests and talents.  Abby has two older sisters Maggie (21) and Bridget ‘17 (19) and younger brother Trey (11).  Abby’s favorite subject in school is History because she loves stories and learning about the differences or similarities about life before current time.  Abby plays three sports, volleyball, winter track and lacrosse and is also a member of AC/DC, AC’s Drama Club.  When asked what she likes best about AC and the school community, Abby replied “how welcoming everyone is.  Whether you’re in the classroom, playing a sport or a part of a club, everyone is so kind and inclusive and it makes activities at AC fun”  Some of Abby’s best memories at AC are “going to any of the football, hockey or basketball games with all my friends and teammates, especially the ones I got to go with my older sister Bridget who graduated in 2017.  I have also loved joining the drama club this year and it was very exciting when our play moved onto semi-finals during drama fest.”  

     

     

    Selected as the junior Student of the Quarter, Zachary McCann has consistently proven to be an outstanding student who has many interests and talents.  Zach has a brother Patrick (14) and sister Olivia (13).  Zach’s favorite subjects in school is Math because he says “I am really good at it, I understand it really well, and manipulating numbers is fun.”  When asked what he likes best about AC and the school community, Zach replied “The academics are challenging and the teachers teach very well.”  Zach’s best memory at AC  was sophomore year when “Mrs. Dever assigned a persuasive speech.  Everyone had to come up with a topic and give a persuasive speech, convincing the audience of the speaker’s point of view.  My speech was on how Star Wars Legends is superior to the new Disney Canon.  Everyone loved it.  It was awesome.”  

     

     

    Selected as the senior  Student of the Quarter, Shawn Brown has consistently proven to be a remarkable  student who has many interests and talents. Shawn has a sister Julia ‘16  (20) and brother Jimmy ‘20 (16).  Shawn’s favorite subject in school is Mathematics and says "I have a strong grasp with using numbers in my head, and also apply math skills frequently in extracurricular activities such as track and fantasy sports.”  Shawn is a member of the cross-county, indoor track and spring track teams.  He was selected captain in the 2018 seasons of cross country and indoor track.  He is also a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council.

    When asked what he likes best about AC and the school community, Shawn replied “Everyone is treated like family.  Every student and faculty member have such strong connections to each other, and no one is left out." Shawn’s best memory at AC  was “being a vital member of the 2017-2018 Cross Country team that was able to win the CCL league title and CCL championship for the first time in 15 years.” 

    When asked what his future plans after AC  were Shawn replied “I am planning on attending the University of Connecticut in the fall to pursue studies in Actuarial Science”
