    Daily Update, Thursday, 6/11/2020

    Good morning-

Our daily opening prayer at AC: Loving God, as I begin this day, help me to live my life to the best of my ability. To be open to those who love me. To respond to those who need me. To forgive those who hurt me. To be especially kind to others with my words and actions. And to appreciate the world in which we live. Saint Agnes, Pray for us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Teachers will accept work through 3pm today, Thursday, 6/11. Student report cards are expected to be available on June 16th.

The governor is reminding us that we are still ‘safer at home.’ Please continue to stay at home as much as possible. The AC turf field and all Town of Arlington fields remain closed at this time. Student groups of any size should remain off any fields.

Mr. Cobb has sent information about locker cleaning. It is important that students arrive on time so that we can maintain distancing. Students must take everything with them, no trash will be available.

Students/families have been emailed about schedules for 2020-2021. All change requests and questions must use the form (in the email and in the Family Portal of FACTS) and contact registrar@achs.net Requests to Mr. Naughton, Guidance and teachers cannot be honored unless the form is submitted to the correct address (registrar@achs.net).

Congratulations to the many students who were honored yesterday in our Leaders & Achievers Awards presentation. A list of students is published here.

This will be our last update for the school year. We will be in touch during the summer concerning plans for reopening, student orientation, and other items of importance.

    Parish Announcements:

    • Please visit www.cparl.org for contact information for our priests, information about Church reopenings and other parish programs that will take place over the summer. We are grateful for the support and prayers of our priests during this year.
    • The parish will continue holding a Peace Walk on Sundays at 5:00 PM during the month of June. We meet at the doors of the Church and intentionally walk to bring God's blessing upon our community. We do so that each person that walks on this holy ground will know they are valued and respected. We pray for our own continuing conversion.

At the end of every school year we must say some goodbyes. We first say goodbye to any students who may be leaving AC, we wish you the best in your next school.

For the faculty-- Mrs. O’Connor will be retiring after teaching French and Spanish at AC for 29 years. Mrs. Iriate will be leaving AC and heading to Saint Agnes School full time. In addition, Mr. Adams, Mr. Cobb, Ms. Heston, Ms. Li, Ms. Melchionna and Ms. Tomaszewski will be leaving us. We thank all of them for their contributions to AC and wish them well as they move on. We have been blessed by their presence in our school.

    Summer Blessing for Families

May we make our homes places of relaxation, joy, love, peace and safety.

May we be generous and considerate, not thinking only about ourselves, but helping others enjoy the blessings of the summertime.

Lord God, Creator of all things, guide our steps and strengthen our hearts during these months of summer and vacation days.

Grant us refreshment of mind and body.

May we constantly strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our loved ones and in the world around us as we enjoy the warm days of summertime.
