  • 03/09/20Corona Virus Update-- Building closes at 3pm each day for cleaning

    Good afternoon AC community-

We are writing to let you know some updates about how the Arlington Catholic administration and health office are continuing to monitor the Corona Virus situation.

**We are asking all students to leave the building by 3pm each day this week so that the cleaning company can do a deep clean of the building**

We are meeting regularly, monitoring the CDC and are in communication with our school physician, Dr. Porcaro, and the Catholic Schools Office/Archdiocese Office of Risk Management.

The best advice continues to be prevention: cover coughs/sneezes, washing of hands and staying home (out of school, work, or public settings) when sick, especially with a fever.

Sanitrol, our cleaning company, disinfects surfaces daily and has heightened their attentiveness to frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs and bathrooms. They will be doing a deep cleaning of the building, including all student desks and lockers, this week. We will also be stepping up the cleaning of caf tables between lunches. Students can help them by doing their best to wash their hands frequently; hand sanitizer is in all classrooms and the cafeteria.

Out of an abundance of caution we want to let you know that we are suspending all field trips, service trips, etc. until further notice. We will await guidance from the MIAA and other officials concerning spring sports; fortunately, these do not start for two weeks so we have further time to monitor this situation.

If you know of any information that will help us keep your children safe, please contact the school nurse. We are also asking that you report any potential contact to us.

We will continue to meet as an administrative team and will keep families informed as we continue to make decisions in the best interest of the health and safety of our students.

    Blessings,

    Mr. Naughton
