  • 06/07/19New Head Volleyball Coach Mae Driscoll and Assistant Ryan Celli

    Arlington Catholic Head of School Linda Butt and Athletic Director Dan Shine announce the hiring of Ms. Mae Driscoll as the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach. Coach Driscoll replaces Mrs. Rachel Reis, who served as the head coach since 2010. 

    "We are thrilled to have Mae come back to lead our volleyball program," said AD Dan Shine, "I look forward to Coach Driscoll continuing to add to the successful program run by Coach Reis over the past nine seasons."

    Driscoll, a Reading resident, graduated from Arlington Catholic in 2013 and was captain of AC’s 2012 Volleyball team, which reached the Division 2 North Finals and won the Catholic Central League Title. She continued her education at Providence College, graduating in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in English.

    Since graduating, Ms. Driscoll has remained active in the AC community by assisting with the summer Volleyball Camp as well as presenting the "Mae Driscoll Varsity Mentorship Award" to a volleyball player chosen by her peers. In addition, Ms. Driscoll is Head Coach of Team Evo Volleyball, a club team for 15-16 year-olds.

    “I am very excited to hand over my torch to Mae Driscoll" said Rachel Reis. "She is smart, energetic, knowledgeable and most important, passionate. She is a proud alumni of AC who will put her heart and soul into this great program and continue its great success.  I’m very happy and excited Mae is here.” 


    Arlington Catholic Head of School Linda Butt and Athletic Director Dan Shine announce the hiring of Mr. Ryan Celli as Assistant Varsity Volleyball Coach. Coach Celli will join Head Coach Ms. Mae Driscoll who will replace longtime coach Rachel Reis, who served as head coach since 2010.

    Celli, graduated from Saint John's Prep, serving as Boys Volleyball captain during his senior year in 2015. Mr. Celli then attended Roger Williams University, graduating in 2019. He served as camp counselor at the Melrose Volleyball Summer Camp from 2012-2015.

    "I'm thrilled to add Ryan to our volleyball staff," said AD Dan Shine. "The AC community is excited to have him join the Cougar family."
