Attached is a flyer regarding a virtual summer program being offered by two of our teachers for rising K2-Grade 3 students.  Please check it out!  Here are a few additional details about the program:

    • The program is open to students rising into grades K, 1, 2, and 3.
    • Mrs. Solomon will be teaching the rising K2 and 1st graders, Ms. Caouette will teach the rising 2nd and 3rd graders.
    • Here is a sample schedule (the learning blocks may move around, but the times are definite):
      • 8:30-9 - Morning meeting with whole group
      • 9-9:45 - Math block
      • 9:45-10 - Snack/Break
      • 10-10:45 - Reading block
      • 10:45-11 - Movement activity/break
      • 11-11:45 - Writing Block
      • 11:45-12 - Closing circle
    • The goal will be to reinforce foundational math, reading, and writing skills and maintain social connections during the summer.
    • There will be no homework assigned, all work will be completed in the remote learning setting through live lessons from the teacher.
    • All materials will be provided in advance so no materials will need to be purchased or printed.
    • The goal will be to make the program fun for students (not just paper and pencil activities) and we will incorporate games, movement, and art when appropriate.

On Monday, June 8, all families are invited to tune in to www.cparl.org at 12pm for a closing School Mass.

On Thursday, June 11, all Grade 1-7 families are invited to come "drive thru" the school parking lot to pick up their child's personal belongings, which teachers have bagged and labeled.  This is also an opportunity for your child to wave to their teacher "from a distance" and you can also drop off textbooks as well as used uniforms that no longer fit your child.  You are asked to come during the window that matches your last name:

    8:00-8:30am: Alonge-Czech

    8:30-9:00am: Daniell-Greene

    9:00-9:30am: Hackley-McClain

    9:30-10:00am: McGeoghean-Nonni

    10:00-10:30am: O'Leary-Sousa

    10:30-11:00am: Sullivan-Zuccaro

If you are unable to come at your scheduled time, please contact Mrs. Oglesby to arrange for a separate, safe pickup/dropoff.  Please note that 8th Grade, K0, K1, and K2 are not included in this because they will have already received their items.  If you need to drop something off for one of these grades, please contact Mrs. Oglesby to make arrangements.  Thank you.

Here is a fun resource for this summer - Camp Kinda - check it out!

Today's fun activity suggestion istake a virtual tour of the Boston Children's Museum since you can't physically go right now!

    Shout-outs to:

Grade 3 as they learn about the 3 branches of government and how bills become laws.

Grade 7 as they finish their poet biography projects!

Grade 5 as they subtract mixed numbers!

    Have a good day!

    United in Prayer,

    Mrs. Oglesby
