    Good morning, SAS families!

Happy St. Patrick's Day, and happy feast day to our Patricks in K0 and Grade 2!

Did anyone else wake up to snow falling this morning?  Just when we thought life couldn't get much stranger!

In today's Morning Prayer, there is an error.  Saint Patrick is referred to as an Irish saint, but he actually was not from Ireland; he was brought there when he was kidnapped!

Fun activity ideas for today include:

    -wear green!

    -eat green foods

-learn more about Saint Patrick (thanks to Mrs. Cahill for sharing this video! Be sure to check the parish part of the Tidbits below for the code to use this website for free!)

I would be remiss if I didn't give a shout-out to our amazing teachers, who, with little notice, have completely changed the way they teach so that students can continue learning at home during this time.  I have been so impressed by the creativity that I've seen as I monitor classroom websites, Class Dojo, and Google Classroom.  Yesterday Ms. DeAngelo, Mrs. Sweeney, Mrs. Solomon, and Ms. Camp even posted video messages!  Students are all engaging in rigorous learning, from patterns in the early grades to state projects to learning new ways to pray and using technology to do good in the upper grades.  Of course, this only works if our students try their best and if you are supporting and encouraging the learning at home.  Parents, know that you are in our prayers and we are here if you need anything.  You've got this!

    Blessings,

    Mrs. Oglesby
