Each year, the Humanitarian Club travels to Camden, NJ to participate in the Romero Center Urban Challenge Program. As one of the poorest cities in America, Camden is an example of the inequities in society Humanitarians aim to address. During this trip we will have the opportunity to meet the Romero Center staff, students from across the country, and, most importantly, the people who live in Camden and Philadelphia. During our stay in Camden April 4-7, 2019 we will participate in work sites preparing lunch for the homeless, working with underprivileged children in daycare, and planting trees and gardens. In the evenings we attend workshops with other students at the center where we learn about Catholic Social Teaching and issues faced by the poor. We have daily prayer services and reflections on our experiences we had throughout the day.

This year, we are asking you to help us fund our Romero Center trip and give Arlington Catholic students unforgettable lessons and memories in Camden, NJ. On-line donations can be made by clicking here. Thank you for supporting us!
