Greetings!
Well, we have finally made it to the first major timeline of the school year- Columbus Day! Our faculty, students, and families all look forward to the long weekend for some well-earned time for rest and relaxation. Here in AC Admissions, the long weekend presents a great opportunity to recharge the batteries as our focus shifts towards the season of shadow days.
Our first shadow day was last Friday- our annual Sibling and Legacy Day, where over three dozen current AC students brought their 8th grade siblings to spend a day as a Future Cougar. We also welcomed a half-dozen children of AC alumni, who got a chance to walk the halls once occupied by their parents. This shadow day is a terrific event spotlighting the true family atmosphere that makes AC a special place.
Starting October 15th, we will begin our “Cougar for a Day” shadow program. With 19 dates to choose from through December, we gladly open our doors to your 8th graders for a true “day in the life” as an Arlington Catholic Cougar. Our guests are matched with a current student and mirror their schedule for the day. Participating in classes, working in labs, meeting students and faculty, eating lunch- all part of the typical shadow day experience, and we believe a significant part of a prospective student’s decision making process. What better way to learn what a high school truly feels like than to attend for a day and see for yourself if AC is the right fit for you! To register for a Cougar for a Day shadow experience today, simply click here.
As always, I am available every day, so if you’d like to schedule a tour, learn more about AC, or need help navigating the admissions process as a whole, please call me at (781) 777-7014, or email me at sbarrett@achs.net. I’d be glad to help!
