Summer Enrichment Sessions

Arlington Catholic is pleased to offer several enrichment sessions during the summer. Due to our technology investment students have the opportunity to take these classes in person at AC or virtually from anywhere in the world. Courses run for 1 or 2 weeks from 8:30-10:30, Monday-Friday. The cost is $200 per week plus a $25 non-refundable registration fee. Tuition is refundable until classes begin, there will be no refunds after a class has started. To register for a session, please click here.

Fundamentals of Alegebra 1 Boot Camp - August 2-13 $400

This two-week course is designed for students who have not completed Algebra 1 or who have completed the course but need a review of the major concepts. This course will prepare students for Algebra 1 at Arlington Catholic.

College Essay Writing - July 12-16 $200

This one-week class is for juniors and rising seniors. Tips and practice, with lots of feedback, will help students craft essays that will help them stand out in the college admissions process. Students are welcome to practice on actual prompts for their schools of interest.

 

High School Placement Test Prep - Verbal - August 23-27 $200

Students may register for one or both of the high school placement test courses. Over the course of two weeks, students who will be in the 8th grade in September and will work with the types of questions on the High School Placement Test. They will examine the types of questions asked, tips for success, and multiple practice opportunities.

 

High School Placement Test Prep - Math - August 12-20 $200

Students may register for one or both of the high school placement test courses. Over the course of two weeks, students who will be in the 8th grade in September and will work with the types of questions on the High School Placement Test. They will examine the types of questions asked, tips for success, and multiple practice opportunities.

 

Lego Engineering - Two week combo July 12-23 $400 

This two week course will involve building and programming robots using LEGO Mindstorms EV3.. Class size is limited to 6 students. **In person class only**

 

So you want to sing a cappella? - July 12-16 $200

This class is all about a cappella music and how to sing it, students would sing a few acapella songs. The students will dive deep into vocal harmony and how vocal colors can fit together. 

Ukulele for beginners - July 19-23 $200

In this course, students will learn how to tune and play their ukulele. We will focus on four chord songs as well as share resources for learning more after the class. This course is designed for the beginning ukulele student. Students would need to bring their own instruments. (middle or high school)

 

 

Audition Prep - July 26-30 $200

Want to audition for a musical but don’t know what song to choose? In this course, students will learn tips and tricks needed for auditioning for musical theater shows and college music programs.

 

Harmony Happenings - August 2-6 $200

This course is an introduction to music theory. Students will create their own four part songs that could be turned into choral pieces. Students will learn how to create harmony in terms of choral singing (middle or high school)
