    Daily Update, 3/27/2020

    Good morning AC-

Our daily opening prayer at AC: Loving God, as I begin this day, help me to live my life to the best of my ability. To be open to those who love me. To respond to those who need me. To forgive those who hurt me. To be especially kind to others with my words and actions. And to appreciate the world in which we live. Saint Agnes, Pray for us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today is our first virtual WIN Day. Students may work on materials if teachers have extended deadlines or wish to review material, but no new work will be assigned. Teachers will be attending meetings, lesson planning, and responding to emails- but will also be taking some time to themselves as well.

Today’s virtual Spirit Week theme is AC Pride Day… share on social media. #ACVirtualSpirit

As you know, Governor Baker extended the school closure until May 4.  Although we are disappointed to hear this because we miss being at school and greatly miss our students, based on what we've seen and heard about the situation, we are not surprised.  Teachers have been, and will be, participating in meetings and discussions about how to frame this work for the foreseeable future, as we move into the 4th Quarter of the year. We are ready to do what needs to be done in order for students to continue to learn at high levels and to prepare them for the year ahead.

Please note that the regularly scheduled days off in April (Good Friday, Easter Monday, and April Vacation week) will remain days off.  We believe everyone needs time to focus on the importance of Holy Week and Easter, even though that may look a little different this year, and that April Vacation week will be a nice break for everyone to just enjoy family time and a little fun.

    Announcements:

During this stressful time we know that many young-people and adults may wish to reach-out for pastoral care. The priests of St. Agnes Parish are available via phone (781-648-0220), email, or a number of video conference platforms, such as Google Chat and Zoom. Their contact info is available at CPARL.org.  There are other resources and programs (including a program for HS students, Faith in an Anxious World that is Zooming on Mondays) that might be helpful to individuals and families on the site as well. Each day you are prayed for at the Facebook Live Mass broadcast from the Collaborative Parishes Office Chapel each day at 12pm.

The enrollment deadline is 4/17, fees already paid will be credited to the tuition balance. Please help us plan by completing this process as soon as possible.

Please continue to sign up for courses for next year by April 3rd; this deadline is incredibly important. Please reach out to teachers and guidance counselors with any questions. Completed worksheets can be returned when we all come back to school.
