10/22/18Seniors Dance at the Little Sister's of the Poor Residence in Somerville
This past Saturday, about 25 of our students (and Mrs. Christy Kiernan who was a rock star) volunteered once again at the Little Sister's of the Poor residence in Somerville. While it was an NHS sponsored event, students from all different areas of the school were invited and gave up four hours of their already busy schedules to volunteer at the Seniors Dance. If you ever feel like you are not making a difference, here are direct quotes I overheard the residents and the nuns who worked there say....
"Your students have such high aspirations!"
"They are so polite and well mannered, what nice young ladies and gentlemen"
"Whatever you all are doing over there, it's working, these kids are great!"
