Daily Update, 3/25/2020 (Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord)

    Good morning AC-

Please see Mr. Naughton introduce this morning’s message here.

Our daily opening prayer at AC: Loving God, as I begin this day, help me to live my life to the best of my ability. To be open to those who love me. To respond to those who need me. To forgive those who hurt me. To be especially kind to others with my words and actions. And to appreciate the world in which we live. Saint Agnes, Pray for us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Christmas is 9 months from today!! The Church celebrates the Annunciation today- that special day when Mary was told by the Angel that she was to be the Mother of God. Importantly, she said yes-- “Be it done unto me according to your word.” In this tough time let us remember to give ourselves over, like Mary, to the will of God.

Today is DAY B. Students should complete work for Mods 6-7-1-2-3. Students should plan on about 45 minutes of work in each class. Please be sure to proactively reach out to teachers with any questions or issues that arise, including the time required to complete work. All emails will be answered by 3pm each day. Teachers will be reaching out to students and families where work is not being submitted

Students and teachers have expressed concern that multiple ‘live’ meetings are being scheduled at the same time. Teachers have a new schedule to follow that will reduce those conflicts and hopefully eliminate them by next week.

Today’s virtual Spirit Week theme is binge worthy shows… share on social media. #ACVirtualSpirit

Third quarter will end this Friday; teachers will have until next Friday to submit grades. Students may submit work through Friday (or later based on teacher deadlines). Students should bear in mind, then, the importance of completing this work during our time away from each other. Failure to complete work will negatively affect student’s grades.

    Announcements:

During this stressful time we know that many young-people and adults may wish to reach-out for pastoral care. The priests of St. Agnes Parish are available via phone (781-648-0220), email, or a number of video conference platforms, such as Google Chat and Zoom. Their contact info is available at CPARL.org.  There are other resources and programs that might be helpful to individuals and families on the site as well. Each day you are prayed for at the Facebook Live Mass broadcast from the Collaborative Parishes Office Chapel each day at 12pm.

The enrollment deadline has been pushed to 4/17 and all fees waived (fees already paid will be credited to the tuition balance). Please help us plan by completing this process as soon as possible.

Please continue to sign up for courses for next year. April 3rd is the deadline to choose courses for next year. This deadline is incredibly important. Please reach out to teachers and guidance counselors with any questions. Completed worksheets can be returned when we all come back to school.

    Prayer:

O God, who willed that your Word should take on the reality of human flesh in the womb of the Virgin Mary, grant, we pray, that we, who confess our Redeemer to be God and man, may merit to become partakers even in his divine nature. Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
