Good morning, SAS families!

Here is today's Morning Prayer.

Today is the day of Mary Foley's funeral, if your family is able to participate.  Mary Foley, an Air Force Veteran and Arlington resident, recently passed away. She has no surviving family and the current situation prevents the military or town from honoring her properly. Those who can are asked to line Mass Ave on Wednesday to properly honor this great woman and her service. Please see the attached for a flyer for details. In this time when so many of us feel helpless, what a wonderful opportunity for our community to honor her life, while maintaining social distancing, of course.

A note to parents: We know this feels impossible at times.  Hang in there, and just do the best you can.  We're in this together.

Today's fun activity suggestion is: do a family workout together!  Sweat Fixx is a row and strength studio in Arlington that has gone virtual during this pandemic offering a full schedule with over 30 live classes a week. Elise Caira founded Sweat Fixx and is a proud AC Alum Class of ‘07. Classes range from everything from HIIT to Yoga with objects you can find at your own home. Wednesday(TODAY!) 4/8 at 3pm will be a free workout for our community - kids, parents, teachers, etc. are all welcome to join! This workout will be a Sculpt Fixx, their signature strength workout in which you build up one exercise at a time working through a leg, arm, and core ladder. All you will need for today's workout will be a towel. Click here for a workout on us!

The Poem of the Day is: "Sick" by Shel Silverstein.  I remember having to memorize this poem in first grade.  It was one of my favorites.  Takes on a whole new meaning now, when I'd give anything to be able to go to school today!

"I cannot go to school today,"

Said little Peggy Ann McKay.

"I have the measles and the mumps,

A gash, a rash and purple bumps.

My mouth is wet, my throat is dry,

I'm going blind in my right eye.

My tonsils are as big as rocks,

I've counted sixteen chicken pox
